Well, first of all it took me forever to figure out how to write a new entry in this new version of xanga.

More importantly, since I have last written I have gotten married. Yes, it is wonderful. Yes, my wife is very beautiful. And yes, I do love living in New Mexico.

The Oscars were on Sunday and I for one was very happy with them. I loved that Diablo Cody won best original screenplay. Very well deserved in my opinion. Best actress upset me at first, I wanted Ellen Page to get it, but once I heard Marion Cotillard give her acceptance speech I decided that I was ok with it. La Vie En Rose is at the top of my "to see list" now. She made me look up Edith Piaf online and download some of her music. Her voice is so beautiful. It amazes me.

The Black Library, who publish all the Warhammer and Warhammer 40,000 books, are having a short story contest with the theme "Heroes of the Space Marines". I will be submitting at least one entry. Possibly two. I think ultimately in life I would like to work for them. I want to help write the history of the 40,000 universe.

One week from right now I will have been married for about 9 hours. I have to say I didn't see this coming this soon in my life. I thought I would be in Memphis right now. I thought I would be a teacher. I thought I would be single for years to come.
I'm almost married. I'm living in the Mountains of New Mexico. And I'm unemployed. I now think all of those but the last one are better than my previous plan.
I've decided that plans are mostly not good. Dreams are a better idea. If you have a dream then everything that happens in your life can be a step toward that dream. Everything that happens to you can be a learning experience towards your dream. If you just make plans, then you're going to end up disappointed quite a bit.

Since the last time I have spoken to the internet, I have had a wedding shower, a bachelor party, a Thanksgiving, and a one year dating anniversary. That last one is actually today. So let me begin by saying that the last year of my life has been the best one so far. And since this year of dating has led into us getting married in less than two months, I expect my life to get only better from here on out. I'm going to be living with my best friend for the rest of my life. I am going to marry the person that I have wanted to marry since we first met.

Wedding Shower. We got so much stuff. Unbelievable amounts of stuff. The Prestoncrest church and the Hobbs family have blessed our lives.

Bachelor Party. I met James O'Barr, who created, wrote, and drew The Crow. I met Humberto Ramos, who is one of my favorite artists. I will buy anything he draws. I met Adam Kubert, who's art I have been looking at since I was ten. I also saw some comics worth around $30,000 and bought some books I have wanted for a long time. Then I saw Beowulf. All accompanied by David, Lance, Nick, Nic, Tripp, Chad, Seth, Tyler, and Matt. Good times.

Thanksgiving. This was the last one with my family consisting of only the people it already does consist of. Next year, Steph will be added. Plus, I don't know where we will be next year. After this, everything is up in the air. So it was cool spending it with my family.

I want to stop substituting. I hate it. I never know if I am going to have work. And when I do have it, I don't know if it will actually be what I signed up for. One time I signed on for Boys PE and ended up teachign Spanish. I just want a regular job.

Sunday is the last MSP Dance Party. I would like for everyone to go. Its a Homer Hiccolm/Ivoryline show, followed by us. Its 6 dollars for the first part, but we're free like always. So please, go to Monks Annex on Sunday. Its going to be fun.
